Peering Into Windows

This work is shot using a 35mm camera and black and white film. Wandering around my village, I peered into windows of empty houses, closed up summer houses and public buildings – anywhere I could get a reflection without getting into trouble.

This work blends of the objects inside the building with the reflection of the landscape on the surface of the glass.  Often there is a window within the room and giving another layer of depth.

The images were shot at an angle to the window so as not to get my own reflection on the glass. Then the film was developed and scanned I then straightened the angle in Photoshop so that the windows were straight.

I love the confusion and the beauty of light and reflections.
